Continuous manufacturing (CM) is playing an increasing important role in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This symposium will provide an updated discussion on CM. I will provide an overview of the state of the field, highlighting where are now and the gaps that need to be filled for broad adoption of CM in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Finally, I will summarize key messages from each of the other presentations in this session.
