Zhanwei Zhou is a Ph.D. student of Pharmaceutics with Prof. Minjie Sun at China Pharmaceutical University. His researches mainly focused on biomacromolecule drugs delivery, containing siRNA, proteins and enzymes. A series of phenylboronic acid modified polycations were synthesised and assembly with siRNA or proteins, forming ATP (adenosine triphosphate) responsive nanoparticles. The tumoral upregulated ATP was able to trigger the reversal of positive charge and hydrophobic properties of PBA-Polycations, obtaining controlled release of the cargo at target site. He has done the corresponding works for 5 years and published 5 papers on the journal of Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Theranostics and Biomacromolecules separately.
