Dr. Qi (Tony) Zhou is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy of Purdue University. He obtained his PhD from Monash University of Australia and received postdoctoral training at the University of Sydney. Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on pharmaceutical solid dosage forms, pharmaceutical manufacturing and pulmonary drug delivery systems. Dr. Zhou has published > 70 journal articles and secured > $8 million funding from governments, organizations and pharmaceutical industry, including two NIH R01 awards as Principle Investigator and a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant as Co-Investigator. Dr. Zhou’s contributions to the field of pharmaceutical sciences have been recognized by many awards including 2013 Australian Early Career Fellowship, 2014 Australian Endeavour Fellowship, 2015 AAPS Postdoctoral Fellowship, 2016 Emerging Researcher Award from International Pharmaceutical Excipients Council of the Americas Foundation (IPEC), 2017 New Investigator Award from International Society of Aerosols in Medicines (ISAM) and 2018 Rising Star Scholarship Award, National Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology & Education (NIPTE). Dr. Zhou is an Editor of AAPS PharmSciTech and an Editorial Board Member of Pharmaceutical Research, Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy and Current Pharmaceutical Design.
