Addictions and Co-Occurring Disorders
People with co-occurring mental health/substance use disorders (MH/SUD), including opioid use disorder, are desperate for help. Yet, despite the prevalence, people in this population have poorer outcomes and higher costs in multiple domains and often don't receive the integrated services they need. This hands-on Half-Day Preconference Workshop will help any mental health and/or SUD provider implement steps to better serve this population. The presenters have extensive practical experience helping MH, SUD and other services and systems implement integrated services for adults, youth and families using existing staff and resources. You’ll learn with and from partner agencies that have implemented co-occurring capability statewide in Tennessee how to make your programs and staff "co-occurring capable."
