Designing faculty-led programs: Turning a blank canvas into a masterpiece

Thursday, October 17
9:00 AM - 10:15 AM
Location: Sheridan

This session illustrates how to start with a blank canvas and use colors, brushstrokes, and techniques to paint a metaphorical masterpiece of a short-term academically focused program abroad. Attendees will learn about best practices and strategies to overcome common challenges encountered during program development. We will explore destination choices, budget planning, risk management, and aligning learning objectives to syllabi. Utilizing these trade tools, we will empower both study abroad offices and faculty alike to help realize program visions that are true works of art.
