Fraud is Frowny, but Forensics are Fun!

Wednesday, October 16
9:00 AM - 10:15 AM
Location: Yellowstone

In dealing with international students and their documentation, we have to be vigilant. Most of the documents we see are genuine, but it is important to know about document forensics and the types of fraud that we may encounter in the educational sector to protect ourselves and our institutions from the odd instance of fraud. In this wide-ranging discussion, we will touch on everything from forensics of physical documents to online verification tools, including a tangent regarding financial documents. With a little knowledge, we hope the forensic part of your job can become a fun challenge, rather than a daunting task.
