Learn how CU Boulder and the University of Wyoming are adapting to the unique needs of Gen Z students by adjusting marketing and communication, increasing access to electronic advising and resources, and coming to understand the varying needs of this newest generation. These Education Abroad offices are making small changes that can have a big impact in a time where there's a need for digital resources as well as a human connection.

Scott Funk

Program Manager & Lead Advisor
University of Colorado Boulder

Scott has been in the International Education field since 2013 and has served in his role as Program Manager & Lead Advisor with the University of Colorado Boulder since 2016. Scott graduated with a B.A. in Communication from CU Boulder, after studying abroad in Seville, Spain for a semester. He now manages a portfolio of programs in Spain & Latin America, advises on internships, and supervises the student advisors in the office.

Michal Greenberg

Assistant Director
University of Colorado Boulder Education Abroad

Michal is the Assistant Director and Manager of Academics & Curriculum Integration at CU Boulder Education Abroad. She started in the office in 2007. Currently Michal manages programs primarily in Australia and New Zealand. In addition to her work in academics, she works with the Terra Dotta Software (TDS) team, and manages online orientation. Michal received a B.S. in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy at Duke University in 2005 and studied abroad in Kenya through the School for Field Studies in 2003.

Amanda L. Poppe, M.S.

Coordinator, Student Advising- Education Abroad
University of Wyoming

Amanda Poppe is a Coordinator for Student Advising in Education Abroad within the Global Engagement Office at the University of Wyoming. In addition to her role as advisor, she also serves as the Marketing Coordinator for EA, Internship & Undergraduate Research Coordinator, and the point person for Re-entry programs. Before moving to Wyoming, she was the International Admissions Recruiter at the University at Buffalo,The State University at New York. She holds a Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish with New York State Adolescent Teaching Certification from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. She is also an Alumni of the Fulbright program as a grantee from 2011-2012 in Madrid, Spain and was a member of NAFSA Academy 15. She is currently the NAFSA Wyoming State Representative, and a member of the both the Sustainability and Marketing & Communications MIGs.
