The Rural Health Town Hall will feature the voices of NACCHO’s rural local health departments engaging with fellow colleagues on their community health priorities. Through this exciting town hall, participants will address key public health issues that are plaguing rural communities. The town hall will begin with an overview of the state of NACCHO’s multidisciplinary rural work led by the Chief of Programs and Services Dr. Oscar Alleyne. Participants will participate in facilitated discussions from the NACCHO’s Rural Health Section Leaders on key rural health issues such as emergency preparedness, opioid and harm reduction, the vaccination crisis, chronic disease and tobacco prevention effort.
