Leadership, Management and Workforce Development
Sharing Session - 30 Minutes
Public Health 3.0 emphasizes the importance of policy as a public health function. However, this is a role that many local health departments (LHDs) are challenged to establish and sustain in the context of all other necessary services. This session will share how the Crater Health District established itself as a policy leader through innovative collaboration, organizational structure, and key leadership development. Attendees will learn the LHD’s process, lessons learned, and next steps for becoming the policy leader for a multi-jurisdictional district.
