The knowledge, expertise, and outspokenness of youth are underutilized resources in both health promotion and quality improvement efforts. Through modified PDSA cycles, Public Health—Seattle & King County supported youth to design, implement, and refine human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine promotion efforts that leveraged their leadership roles in their communities, pushing HPV vaccine coverage rates to 80% at their school-based health centers.
