Performance improvement (PI) professionals form an integral part of the public health workforce and are instrumental in the continuous improvement of individual, program, and organizational performance. These professionals play key roles within their organizations in the areas of quality improvement, performance management, workforce development, accreditation readiness, and community health assessment and improvement planning. To support the continued development of knowledge, skills, competence, and confidence within the PI workforce, a set of competencies – the Competencies for Performance Improvement Professionals in Public Health (PI Competencies) – was developed specifically for PI professionals and tailored searches have been created to assist PI professionals and others in identifying training opportunities related to PI. Join this session to learn about the recently released PI Competencies, the tailored searches for training, and how these searches can be used to locate training to continue enhancing PI knowledge and skills.
