Leadership, Management and Workforce Development
Sharing Session - 60 Minutes
Benton-Franklin Health District, a mid-size LHJ in southeastern Washington with 100 employees serving over 280,000 residents, underwent a process to design and implement a formal meeting structure for the agency to better manage its various committees, teams, and workgroups. The process has already yielded positive results in agency-wide communication, project tracking, PHAB accreditation and reaccreditation preparation, strategic planning, and staff engagement. The session will discuss how the need was identified and how it related to the accreditation journey, the process of creating the structure for all of the agency’s 50+ committees, teams, work groups, and departments, and the initial results of those efforts in the first year of adoption and implementation.
