Amineh Harvey received her Master of Public Health degree in health promotion and education with an emphasis on maternal and child health from Loma Linda University in California. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the field of public health. Currently, Amineh Harvey is a Health Educator in the Office of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at the Southern Nevada Health District. In this capacity, she is the project lead for the OCDPHP’s Heart and Stroke Prevention Program. Amineh is responsible for coordinating the heart and stroke activities focused on prevention and education of hypertension control, sodium reduction and modifiable risk factors. Amineh has worked at the Southern Nevada Health District for 8 years as a Health Educator serving in various capacities. Prior to working in OCDPHP, she worked as a Health Educator Case Manager for the Healthy Start Program and as a Health Educator and Technical Advisor for the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program.
