School-Based Dental Sealant Program Manager

Melissa Peters, RDH, BASDH, is the Program Manager for the school-based dental sealant program through the Florida Department of Health in Broward County, also known as, the Broward Dental SEALS, by day and a devoted, loving mother by night.
She has a passion for encouraging and supporting others, particularly the underserved, within the community. Educating others on the importance of healthy oral hygiene habits for overall health is something that she is passionate about. Creating awareness, especially at an early age, is extremely important to her, which is why she takes her profession and program very seriously.
Melissa holds an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, as well as a current Registered Dental Hygiene license in the state of Florida. Shortly following graduation from Dental Hygiene school, she returned to college to complete her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene with the hopes of working in public health one day.
In her free time, Melissa enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her 12 year old son and French bulldog.
