Joining NACCHO from Los Angeles, CA, Michelle Cantu has had over 12 years experience working in the field of infectious disease. She currently serves as a Director at NACCHO where she oversees the Infectious Diseases and Immunization portfolios. At NACCHO, Michelle leads the Immunization Program to engage local health departments to increase their capacity in prevention and control of vaccine preventable diseases. She supports program staff to manage the Immunization Workgroup, demonstration projects, and evaluation to further enhance the Immunization Program activities. She earned her MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and her BA in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin.
