Public Health Research Consultant
Tasha Golden, PhD is a public health research consultant whose mixed methods approach is bolstered by her career as an artist and entrepreneur. As singer-songwriter for the critically acclaimed band Ellery, Golden toured full-time for many years throughout the US and abroad, and her songs have been in feature films and TV dramas. Golden now draws on her background to develop transdisciplinary, creative partnerships and practices. Her work advances health equity by interrogating research assumptions; improving communications; and innovating health research, education, and practice.
Dr. Golden consults for organizations, initiatives, and communities to develop innovative, research-based strategies that further their goals--particularly with regard to community/client voice, health equity, trauma-responsive approaches, and creating a culture of health. She presents and consults nationally about intersections of health equity, innovation, and the arts, and has published in multiple journals and disciplines. Golden also facilitates creative writing workshops for incarcerated teen women, who are among her greatest teachers.
