Taylarr Lopez, BS, currently serves as Communications Specialist for the National Association of County and City Health Officials. In this role, she manages the organization’s social media accounts and plans, coordinates, and implements internal and external communications programs and projects. She has helped bolster NACCHO’s social media channels and serves as Communications Lead for the NACCHO Annual Conference.
Previously, she held a position as Communications Coordinator at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. In this role, she was responsible for developing social media strategies to advance project messaging and developed content for the office’s website, fact sheets, one-pagers, and newsletters.
Taylarr is originally from the North Carolina coast and holds a bachelor’s in communications from Bowie State University. During her time as an undergraduate student, she worked with Radio One’s Majic 102.3 radio station and Prince George’s Community Television. Taylarr also serves as Communications Chairperson for the Mistaken Identity Foundation and IMPACTdmv, two associations based in Prince George’s County, MD, that aim to enrich the personal and professional growth of youth and young adults.
