Ashley Edmiston, MPH, Director of Workforce Development, joined the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) in January of 2013. Ashley oversees initiatives designed to build workforce capacity in local health departments. Some of her efforts have included the design of a curriculum for performance improvement; development of education and training modules, curriculum assistance for the Public Health Associates Program, and competencies development for local governmental health leaders. Ashley oversees NACCHO’s eLearning efforts, including the management of NACCHO University.
Prior to joining NACCHO, Ashley spent 8 years at the American Psychological Association in the Center for Psychology in Schools and Education. As a Program Officer, she developed and managed materials that translated the psychological science of teaching and learning into initiatives and resources for educators, policy makers and researchers working in prek-12 education.
Ashley received her B.Sc. in Psychological Science from the University of Westminster and received her Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
