As associate director of the Center for Public Health Practice at the Ohio State University College of Public Health, Joanne provides training and technical assistance to local and state health agencies as they pursue accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). She has created templates used by agencies across the country to guide the creation of workforce development and quality improvement plans and has designed and delivered distance-based and in-person workshops for agency-based teams engaged in this work. Joanne is a trained site visitor for PHAB. Joanne has a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from Youngstown State University (OH) and a master’s degree in Workforce Development and Education from Ohio State University. She has worked in local, state, and academic public health organizations.
