Sarah Hughes has been a nurse for a decade, completing her BSN from Carroll University in 2010. Sarah is experienced in community and public health, currently working as the Immunization Coordinator for Public Health Madison & Dane County. She has previous experience in the evidence-based home visiting program Nurse Family Partnership. Sarah received her Doctorate in Nursing- Advanced Public Health Nursing from Rush University in 2018. Her doctoral clinical work focused on examining racial disparities in reproductive health outcomes in Dane County and using Critical Race Theory to center the voices of marginalized groups in public health interventions.
