Public Health Analyst

KT Kramer, JD/MHA, is a policy expert with 8 years of experience in the intersection of law and public health applied to international, federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory frameworks. She currently supports the Law and Health Policy Project, a collaborative effort of the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC Foundation and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as a CDC Foundation public health analyst. Prior to joining the project, she served as the state health policy director at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, providing legal and policy analysis and national perspectives across the spectrum of public health issues, resulting in responsive and responsible policy interventions for US states, territories.
KT started in public health as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Turkmenistan where she focused on maternal and infant health. She moved into the policy arena after graduate school when she was as a Winston Health Policy Fellow for the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pension, covering FDA, public health, and private health insurance issues.
