FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN BROWARD COUNTY
Terri Sudden has worked for the Florida Department of Health in Broward County since July, 2008 in the Public Health Preparedness Program and in Community Health. She is currently the Director of Public Health Preparedness and Response. From December, 1984 – March, 2008, she served as the Director of Planning for Broward Regional Health Planning Council specializing in HIV/AIDS planning. She has more than 30 years’ experience in data analysis, grant writing and community and public health preparedness planning. She serves as the Planning Chief for all DOH-Broward incident management teams for disease outbreaks and is the ES8 Health and Medical Supervisor at the Emergency Operations Center during county-wide emergency activations. She serves as a national subject matter expert in public health planning including Project Public Health Ready, Roadmap to Ready mentoring program, Health Information Technology Networks, Rural and Primary Health Networks, Medicaid and Medicare Innovation and HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Treatment. She has served as a member of the Broward County Healthcare Coalition since 2008 and as Vice Chair since 2012.
