Caroline is the current Director of Performance Excellence for at the Florida Department of Health in Broward County (DOH-Broward) for 10 years and is responsible for all process improvement activities, internal and external audits, customer service, training, procedures, and serves as the accreditation team lead for the Public Health Accreditation Board. Currently, Caroline oversees one of the largest school based dental sealant programs in the country for the 6th largest school district. The Florida Department of Health in Broward County is the recipient of the prestigious Governor's Sterling Award for 2018. Caroline is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt with a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Public Administration with a concentration in International Business. She is certified with Ken Blanchard Company in Situational Leadership and a Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator Practitioner with the Myers Briggs Foundation. Caroline successfully completed a fellowship to improve medication adherence for HIV positive individuals in partnership with the CDC sponsored National Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health.
Caroline has over 25 years’ leadership experience from the international level to the local levels. Prior to joining DOH-Broward, Caroline was the International Operations Manager for AMN Healthcare. She was primarily responsible for overseeing 16 international offices that would recruit, educate, train, license, and relocate healthcare professionals to areas of need worldwide. Caroline has served as an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Program.
