Wendy Rose, MS, RS has been employed by the Marshall County (KY) Health Department (MCHD) for over 15 years. She has worked in many capacities, often simultaneously - Environmental Lab Director, QI/PM Coordinator, Preparedness and Safety Coordinator and Grant Writer. Wendy is also a member of the MCHD Leadership, Strategic Planning and Harm Reduction Teams. Wendy is a 2010 Fellow of the Kentucky Public Health Leadership Institute and has served as a NACCHO Accreditation Support Initiative Mentor. Wendy has completed classes in Adaptative Leadership and advanced planning and preparedness training. In addition to credentials needed for her role as Environmental Lab Director, she holds a Kentucky Registered Sanitarian license. Wendy earned a bachelor’s degree (Chemistry) and master's degree (Occupational Safety and Health) from Murray State (KY) University. As a native, and almost lifelong resident of Marshall County, Ms. Rose possesses a great love for her community and those she serves. She feels that public health, while a job, is also a service and a responsiblity to our community that should not be taken lightly.
