Isabel Evans is stationed at NACCHO as a Fellow, where she supports the Local Opioid Overdose Prevention and Response (LOOPR) program and the Injury and Violence Prevention (IVP) portfolio. Her responsibilities on the LOOPR team include direct support for funded sites, development of publications and resources to support local health departments' community initiatives and action plans for opioid response, and provision of technical assistance and programmatic support. In addition, Isabel leads the IVP member workgroup, facilitates IVP policy reviews, and serves as a member of the STRYVE Action Council for youth violence prevention. Prior to joining NACCHO through the Public Health Associate Program, Isabel conducted research on health behaviors in urban China. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Public Health Studies and East Asian Studies from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
