Public Health Advisor
Nga Vuong, MAT, is a Public Health Advisor/Analyst working for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Division of Vector-Borne Diseases, Arboviral Diseases Branch (DVBD/ADB), in Fort Collins, Colorado. Prior to working for DVBD/ADB, Nga worked at the local and state level in Little Rock, Arkansas with the Arkansas Department of Health for two years. Nga was a disease intervention specialist with the STD/HIV program during her first year and then transitioned into the Preparedness Branch and Zoonotic Diseases Section for her second year.
Nga is a member of the Extramural Program Management Team in DVBD which oversees all of DVBD's extramural programs and projects. Nga is a project officer for the national partners, NACCHO and ASTHO; a program consultants/project officer for grantees under the Epidemiology Laboratory Capacity cooperative agreement; and a contracting officer representative for several vector related, university research projects. Nga obtained her BS in biology and entomology at the University of Florida and obtained her MAT in secondary sciences at the University of Central Florida.
