Innovating Cybersecurity is necessary when it comes to IoT devices, specifically UAVs/Drones.
The purpose of focusing on UAVs/Drones is to help organizations to become aware of having a strategical plan in place. This is to inform organizations that's interested in utilizing drones to have insight, as UAVs are becoming a huge market, and cybersecurity being an afterthought. As of today, drones are being used on many levels of life, from filming movies to reconnaissances in the military. UAVs/Drones are becoming more and more popular than ever before. Thus, the more widespread this technology becomes, the more research is done to determine the various resolutions of the UAVs.
In recent years UAVs/Drones have been categorized as IoT devices, where some of the popular vulnerabilities are inherited in the drone technology. The vulnerabilities may cause high-level attacks, such as: Hardware Attacks, Sensor Spoofing, and Wireless Attacks.
In addition to the attacks, there are risk involved which would cause the likelihood of property damages or losses.
The recommendation that would be shared are suggestions for considerations to harden the equipment that's utilized with various security controls.
