Security Congress Abstract
The growth of IoT devices, both in our personal lives and in industrial settings, has increased exponentially over the last few years—and will continue to grow. Security of these devices is often forgotten, made optional or hard to implement while still enabling the device to operate in a user friendly manner. The mindset of the producers of these devices, integrators and eventual end users needs to change to ensure devices are secure by design and deployed and used in a secure way. This session will look at the history of devices, analyze a number of incidents and detail a roadmap for all aspects of the design and use of these devices.
