The Art and Science of Cyber Response

This workshop is broken into two parts.

Part 1: A strong incident response plan is a key component of any organization's defense. Many organizations have an ineffective, or non-existent, cyber response plan. A strong plan can help you identify and respond quickly to a cyber incident, and mitigate the financial and reputational costs. The presenters will talk through the key components of a successful incident response plan.

Part 2: You’ve identified a possible intrusion. Is your team ready to respond quickly? Do you know what steps to take to mitigate damage and begin remediation? What decisions need to be made? Do you have the right resources? Are you adequately prepared? In this session, we'll talk through a real-world scenario and help you identify critical decision points and key next steps.

• Understand incident response planning best practices, and how to adapt them to an organization's needs.
• Understand what other organizations are doing that works, and how to avoid making common mistakes when preparing for a cyber incident.
• Understand the incident response process—who does what, and when.
