Application Security/Software Assurance
Security Congress Abstract
With the rise of connected and autonomous vehicles, cybersecurity has become essential. But it is also a huge challenge if you consider that a modern car has nearly double the lines of code of Facebook and more than 100 software suppliers involved. This session shows how to address this challenge by implementing security throughout the entire software development lifecycle aligned with the newly developed ISO/SAE standard 21434. This standard, called “Cybersecurity Engineering for Road Vehicles,” will be published in 2020.
The presentation gives practical insights on how an automotive software company integrated cybersecurity into its development processes from the initial threat analysis to vulnerability management. It points out key success factors and also discusses why automotive cybersecurity is still behind traditional IT security.
