Security Congress Abstract
While macOS devices have made significant inroads into personal and home computing, many traditional enterprises have been slow to endorse, embrace or even allow them. The perception of security on macOS endpoints is varied, with media, vendors and the research community all painting different pictures of the threats faced by macOS users.
This talk explores the state of enterprise macOS security from two perspectives: the tooling available for endpoint management and telemetry; and the malware risks faced by users using research primary carried out on real-world data from a fleet of macOS enterprise endpoints. Combined, the two provide insight and guidance for security management and administrators alike when considering approaches to adopting macOS devices in enterprise environments.
