The video game Fortnite is an international obsession. With more than 150 million players worldwide, and holding the record for the most annual revenue of any video game, it is no wonder why the free-to-play game is one of the most successful games in history. Behind this video game is an amazing strategy that security awareness professionals can leverage to build standout awareness programs.
This talk highlights how psychological principles of humanistic behaviorism, coupled with strategic examples that help explain Fortnite's success, can help security awareness professionals build an awareness program. This is all possible through examining the power in positive consequences, encouraging observational learning, revisiting the feedback loop and igniting the platinum rule.
