Security Congress Abstract
Often, the Cybersecurity Officer or Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is seen as a position in high demand but without job stability. The shelf life of these cybersecurity professionals currently is two to three years. Several factors contribute to such a short life employment expectancy of this highly demanded position.
The question becomes: Does the Cybersecurity Officer/CISO have a value proposition or risk-mitigation/security plan of action to win over your company’s executives so they embrace and fund the skills/security services you bring to the organization? The R.I.P. does not stand for resume in place or rest-in-peace but instead it's risk-mitigation Implementation plan. Preparing a defined plan while being able to implement and demonstrate your value to the organization is an employment game changer.
