This session will feature two speakers: Dr. Mukwesi will outline the development of the simulation program in Rwanda and current status in interprofessional education. There are many challenges including debriefing in the hierarchical context. By training and learning together, there are opportunities to appreciate the point of view of colleagues and overcoming hierarchy for patient safety.
Culture is believed to play a role in education, safety, and patient outcome in healthcare. Dr. Sharara-Chami will provide insight into the cultural prototypes and differences in simulation debriefing. This will be followed by a Q&A session.
