State the overall Goal or Outcome : Participants will acquire the knowledge and skills to translate a clinical opportunity into a quality improvement (QI) process that incorporates interprofessional simulation.
Intended Audience : We have created this workshop for intermediate to advanced simulation educators, administrators, and researchers who would like to integrate the quality improvement process into their interprofessional simulations.
Relevance to the Conference : Interprofessional simulation sessions have been recognized as a valuable educational tool to provide healthcare teams with the opportunity to develop their teamwork, communication, technical skills and decision-making. However, their ability to improved systems has been underutilized. We hope that through this session, learners will gain tools to leverage their simulation expertise to achieve tangible, measureable goals that will improve patient care in their clinical settings.
