Based on the five dimensions of practice found in the literature review, this paper approaches a classification of digital transformation projects in the IT department of an automotive industry. To do so, the AHP multi-criteria decision-making method was used, allowing the identification of the most recurrent dimensions in the organization’s projects. Initially a literature review of the subject was carried out, along with the identification of digital transformation projects covered by the IT sector. Afterwards, an application case was put into practice, where all the projects were analyzed, and their main characteristics were raised. Finally, as a result the most recurrent dimensions in the projects of the organization in question was obtained. As a consequence, it will be possible for the company to standardize project classification, reducing issues related to process and execution rework and project prioritization.
