Erosion and Sediment Control
Far south Texas poses significant difficulties to revegetation success; heat, wind, lack of regular moisture, and low organic matter and nutrient deficient soils- issues faced in many other southern and arid regions. Plus there are the rattlesnakes, but we won’t get into that. In this session we will discuss 3 unique projects, all with different conditions and challenges and how those were overcome to achieve successful and sustainable vegetation on the site. We’ll dive into the specifics of what the soil tests told us, how we can best answer those same challenges on other sites, and the changes made to traditional revegetation and erosion control techniques that made these projects successful.
