Dr. Kashmira Date is a medical officer with the Global Immunization Division at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and serves as CDC's technical lead for typhoid and cholera vaccines since 2010. She is a principal investigator and co-principal investigator for multiple typhoid and cholera vaccine studies, including the first public sector introduction of the new typhoid conjugate vaccine in India. She represents CDC on several global expert committees on typhoid and cholera vaccines, and is the current chair of the oral cholera vaccine working group at the Global Taskforce on Cholera Control. She is a physician by background and trained with CDC's Epidemic Intelligence Service program from 2008 to 2010.
