Major (Dr.) Alice Barsoumian is the Medical Director of the Brooke Army Medical Center Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Director of the San Antonio Uniformed Services Education Consortium Infectious Disease Fellowship Program. She has experience in developing antimicrobial stewardship educational curricula for infectious disease fellows at the local and national level. Maj Barsoumian has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in 2014-2015, and as a subject matter expert in infection control and antimicrobial stewardship in 2019. She attended medical school at the University of California at Irvine College of Medicine and completed residency and fellowship in SAUSHEC’s internal medicine and infectious disease programs, respectively. Maj Barsoumian is an active member of national internal medicine and infectious disease societies.
