This communication presents the notion of fluid space in the works of two Korean young artists based in France.
Minsuk YOON work is above all a research around the question of the link between the body and space. Starting from the postulate, that the space surrounding him is not simply a visual phenomenon, but participates through his existence in France.
Hyeoki Kwon, in France, borrows daily life events like parties, meals, but by switching some social codes, our habits in an unusual way in order to provoke a new relationship with the society.
I focus on notions of "monadic space". This plays a role in order to become aware of the issues raised by a "fluid space", which is shown in their plastic work. A monadic space refers to an indivisible space, individual and clean, while a nomadic space implies that it is not fixed, but moving, as if it will dissolve.
These two notions can be apprehended in a relative manner; however, we show that this fluid space simultaneously encompasses these two spatial notions. The space involved in a work or in my work in particular is not a theory but experience; more precisely, it will be a matter of testing these notions of "monad" and "nomad" in the real space of life in France.
