Young CFP’s possess technical knowledge, yet many don’t have the experience to develop a way-of-being that lends itself to facilitating the full range of client possibilities. This only occurs when one is willing to observe and be curious enough to change the self, in order to fully see the client as they are.

By engaging in a structured reflection-based mentoring program, young planners can begin to develop a maturity and way-of-being research has shown as needed to develop deeper and more meaningful conversations and planning engagements. This session will focus on sharing the tools and process for such a structure.

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completion, participants will be able to explain the significance of way-of-being as it relates to the planner’s ability to facilitate an engagement steeped in deeper and more meaningful conversation.
• Upon completion, participants will be able to summarize the structure, process, roles, and responsibilities necessary for implementing a reflection-based mentoring process.
• Upon completion, participants will understand how to use the templates within the reflection-based mentoring process.
