Richard Kerensky MD Professor of Medicine/Cardiology University of Florida. Dr. Kerensky joined the University of Florida faculty in 1992 after training at Wake Forest Universtiy. He was mentored at Wake Forest by Michael Kutcher Dr Gruentzig's firtst interventional fellow at Emory University. Dr. Kerensky was director of interventional cardiology at University of Florida when he left to start a C-PORT PCI site in Thomasville Georgia in 2006. He worked closely with the Emory interventional faculty to develop that program. He returned to the University of Florida in 2018. He is the associate director of the cardiology fellowship program. He is intersted in coronary intervention, radial artery access, regression of atheroslcerosis, and coronary physiolgy. He was heavily involved in the WISE trial examining microvascular function in women.
