Dr. Diogo Haussen received his medical degree from UFCSPA Medical School in Brazil. His postgraduate training included an Internal Medicine Internship, Neurology Residency and Neurointerventional Surgery Fellowship at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital, as well as a Vascular Neurology Fellowship at the Harvard Medical School / Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Dr. Haussen has a strong commitment to Education and Research. He received the Preliminary Intern of the Year Award, Resident of the Year Award twice, Best Fellow Teacher Award, and was selected as an Administrative Chief Resident. His extensive list of publications reflects his continued effort to improve patient outcomes through research.
Dr. Haussen’s areas of clinical interest encompass endovascular surgical neuroradiology and stroke neurology. His expertise includes the diagnosis, medical and interventional treatment of a vast array of cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke, carotid disease, cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and dural fistulas.
