Brooks Lindsey is an Assistant Professor in the Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University, where he directs the Ultrasonic Imaging and Instrumentation Laboratory. His lab develops minimally-invasive imaging and therapeutic technologies. Current research interests include development of minimally-invasive technologies for quantifying blood flow velocity fields for interventional guidance and assessment of late-stent events. His lab is also interested in development of nanoscale agents for targeted molecular imaging and therapy. Dr. Lindsey completed postdoctoral training as an NIH fellow at the University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University, where he developed tumor-specific contrast agents and imaging techniques. Dr. Lindsey received his Ph.D. from Duke University, where he developed a system for real-time 3D ultrasound imaging of cerebrovascular diseases through the intact adult skull.
