Russell Brandwein, MS, PA-C is the Director of outpatient clinical services and Chief PA for the Structural Heart & Valve Center and CUMC in NY.
Russell has dedicated his career to the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease.
He has been a practicing physician assistant for approximately 20 years in the field of cardiology and has been with the Structural Heart & Valve Center since its inception in 2011, where he currently holds the position as Director of Outpatient Clinical Services and Chief Physician Assistant.
He received his Master of Science Degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University.
Russell is also perceived as a leader and mentor among his peers. He is continually invited to speak at medical meetings and has been co-chair of the Cardiovascular Professionals Course at TCT for the last 12 years. He has co-authored abstracts and just completed a book chapter in the newly published TAVR Program Development Guide.
He is currently in the process of authoring additional chapters in cardiac textbooks and sits on the committee to develop board questions for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam
He currently lives in NJ with his wife and two children
