Inadequate bone volume is a common finding in dental implant reconstruction. This lecture will review evidence-based procedures and minimally invasive approaches available to the oral and maxillofacial surgeon to perform horizontal ridge preservation and augmentation.
Topics will include “open” grafting, ridge expansion and horizontal ridge augmentation using particulate graft with GBR/tenting screws, tunneling techniques and bone cores/blocks. Case presentations and technique videos will include discussion of cone beam computed tomography anatomic considerations, the role of barriers and biologics as well as materials utilized for the procedures.
There will be a refreshment break from 2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
