Melissa Jakubowitz, MA, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, is the president and owner of eLiveNow, which provides training and support services related to telepractice. She began her career in the public schools and then moved to private practice, where she continued to provide services to children in her clinic as well as in public schools. None years ago, Jakubowitz ventured into the world of telepractice, becoming the Vice President of Clinical Services at a large company, where she developed the clinical program for SLPs, OTs, and mental and behavioral health professionals. Three years ago, she started her own telepractice company, providing support and training to those interested in telepractice as well as buidling a platform for telepractitiioners in addtion to providing services to schools and private clients. Jakubowitz is an ASHA Fellow and a Board Certified Child Language Specialist and has been active in both the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA) and ASHA. After 15 years on the CSHA board and serving on various committees and task forces, she served as CSHA president. Jakubowitz has served on ASHA's Legislative Council, SLP Advisory Board, Board of Ethics, and Financial Planning Board. She is currently the SIG 18 Coordinator.
