The Illinois Early Intervention Training Program has approved this in-person session for 2 hours of EI credential credit in the area of Intervention.
This practical, hands-on session will explore how to increase phonetic complexity during speech intervention. The session will include video examples of children undergoing intervention to increase their phonetic complexity and allow attendees to practice developing goals and stimuli focused on articulatory complexity. The speakers will discuss the Index of Phonetic Complexity as an example of a criterion-based metric to capture, measure, and understand articulatory changes in response to speech intervention with individuals of all ages.
