Selective mutism can create as much anxiety for the SLP responsible for treating the disorder as it does for the student, teacher, and parents! This session will help SLPs gain confidence in their ability to explain the characteristics of the disorder, assess its components, and implement a desensitization treatment plan. The speaker will present practical clinical strategies to address selective mutism in preschool through high school-age students.
