Pre-Conference Workshop Session
This session is part of a pre-conference workshop (jointly planned and offered by the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association and ASHA Professional Development), which is a ticketed event, available for an additional fee during the registration process. The cost for the pre-conference workshop is $40 for Illinois residents and $80 for all other participants.
This session is for the in-person event only and is not available with Connect On-Demand.
This is one of three breakout sessions that is part of the pre-conference workshop, "We Are All in This Together: Ensuring Ethical, Evidence-Based Practices Across Work Settings." The session – targeted to those in school settings – will discuss the ethical considerations and resources that SLPs encounter in the workplace as well as explore how SLPs maintain evidence-based practices within the school setting. Ethics and evidence-based practice are often viewed as independent from one another, but this session will discuss the ways in which they are intricately intertwined and what is required to maintain high standards of practice for the profession.
